The Municipality of Thira informs its residents and visitors.
As part of the special civil protection plan of the Municipality of Thira, designated population assembly points have been established for organized preventive evacuation if necessary, as follows:
• For the areas: Oia – Finikia – Koloumbos in the Baxedes Plain.
• For the areas: Imerovigli – Vourvoulos in the Vourvoulos Plain.
• For the areas: Fira – Firostefani – Kontochori – Karterados in the Fira Plain, between Exo Gialos Fira – Exo Gialos Karterados.
• For the areas: Vothonas – Messaria – Monolithos – Episkopi Gonia – Kamari in the plain west of the airport.
• For the areas: Pyrgos – Exo Gonia – Megalochori in the plain south of Pyrgos and east of Megalochori.
• For the areas: Emporio – Perissa – Vlychada – Agios Georgios in the Agios Nikolaos area – Plain northwest of Emporio.
• For the area of Akrotiri in the southeast plain of Akrotiri.
• For the area of Thirassia in the plain between the village of Manolas and the village of Potamos.
